Everything in the pictures looks small in portion but then BAM you got two meals worth total. Anyways the food is delicious! Plus home made corn tortillas, take my money!
This place has really good food. I definitely will be going back and eating here again. If you haven't eaten here before I highly recommend trying this place. And the menu's are in Spanish and English Incase you don't know Spanish. Waitress was nice. The hot sauce was a little runny and tasted tomatoy but mixed with their other sauce in the bottles made it really good
Can’t rate the atmosphere because I had delivery. I didn’t rate it very well on DoorDash only because I didn’t receive an item so I can’t really say what the guacamole tastes like and the chili rellleno was bomb. Homemade corn tortillas were nice and the beans and rice fabulous, I visited the restaurant and it was quite charming, perfect atmosphere for the food that you get and the huevos rancheros were delicious
If you're looking for Mexican homemade food need Sherman this is the place. The only thing that I didn't like at all was their coffee but the food is delicious hands down!!
If you're ever in Sherman and want authentic Mexican food that is delicious, served in huge portions, great prices and also served with a smile, El Ranchero is the place. My wife had a giant chicken burrito and I had the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. So good! Ask to try the different sauces they have before ordering. We will be back!
Excellent service and restaurant was wonderfully decorated for upcoming Halloween with full of passion and zeal. Didn't find much on the menu for vegetarian options. They were able to prepare vegetarian items for us. Everything is prepared fresh from order and white it took a bit of time to get them, they are all worth the wait in taste. Liked the place for simplicity, down to earth, home cooked style of food.

There’s been an increase in onions compared to meat, the flavor has been bland, and the dish often includes only about five shrimp, which feels underwhelming. The store itself is small and gets crowded on busy weekends, so it’s best to plan ahead. Despite these issues, some dishes still stand out, making it a decent spot to eat, though consistency could be improved.
This is an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant that serves delicious hot food fast! I would come back here in a heartbeat if I lived closer. The food is inexpensive but tastes like a million bucks. Their sauces are top notch and I can tell the quality of the ingredients and the experience of the cook are top tier. Don't let the outside deter you come on in and enjoy some of the best Mexican cuisine you'll ever have!
